I woke up in the morning to find a shock of light, as hot as lava, strike my face. The heat forced me to collect some water. As I was collecting the water, it splashed on me, it was as cold as ice. I began to walk home, eventually I reached my tiny house. Suddenly, a blinding light appeared! I quickly shut my eyes. Then a voice spoke, “Don’t be afraid, O favoured One, God has sent me. He says you are going to have a baby and you must call him Jesus.”
” How can this be?” I questioned.
“Anything, is possible with God!” Then he disappeared.
    I was amazed and petrified.

I was at my usual lake. As the water lapped into my pot, which was china, I secretly took a small sip. It was heavy and hard to carry, so I sat down on some dusty stairs. I was looking down into the pot when I suddenly saw a bright light reflecting in the water. I slowly looked up and a few paces in front of me was a blinding light. I soon made out the shape of a human hovering above. It was a miracle!!!
He had wings as soft as silk and as white as snow and a golden halo resting above his head. I was terrified but could feel peace rising inside me.
He said “Hello favoured one! I am a messenger from God, I have been sent to tell you. You will have a baby who will be the son of God! You will call him Jesus. Go and prepare!”
Then he was gone, but I knew life would never be the same again.

Mary lived in Nazareth and was engaged to a carpenter named Joseph. One morning, Mary was alone and doing chores. Suddenly a big flash of white appeared in the room. Mary was afraid. Then an Angel called Gabriel spoke to her. “Do not be afraid Mary. God is sending you an important message. You have been chosen to give birth to God’s son. You must name him Jesus.”

“How? I am not even married,” replied Mary. “Anything is possible with God”, said Gabriel. When Mary looked up the Angel had disappeared. Mary felt puzzled, shocked and afraid. She was amazed that God had chosen her out of all the women in the world.

    The Annunciation

Once, nestled in the hills of Galilee, lay a small town called Nazareth. In the town lived a young Maiden called Mary. One day Mary was sitting at home when an angel appeared! “Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee” he announced. At this, Mary felt a shiver down her spine. He continued, ” do not fear for the Lord has found peace with you. He has chosen you to be the mother of the Messiah, who will save your people. You must call him Jesus.”
“How can this be?” Mary asked entranced.
“Anything is possible with God!” He exclaimed.

We have been doing about that in RE and I think that your piece of writing is very good and has a lot of adjectives in it.

Mary was nervous but she knew that Joseph would always be with her.

      Keep up the good work.

She was brave, happy, excited that she was going to have a baby.
Mary couldn’t wait to tell her cousin Elizabeth, so she went straight to find her, when she saw her she told her the news and to her surprise, Elizabeth was also excited with the same story.

Mary was a young reliable, woman who lived in a town called Nazareth. One sunny morning, Mary was fetching some water from the well. When she got back home, she spun around to find the angel Gabriel standing there. He said, β€œ You will have a baby and when you do, call him Jesus.”
β€œHe will be the son of God.” Then the bright angel disappeared. Excitedly, Mary rushed off to tell her cousin, Elizabeth the good news.

I think Mary was scared because of the great responsibility, but felt happy and special because she was chosen out of lots of other women.
