Good. Did you find the challenge for about the class singing?
Traveling on the river, I heard something going on down stream. I swam down and came across an injured man lying on the bank. Of course, I couldn’t do anything about it because I’m just a small duck! So I decided to quietly swim away.
Later that afternoon, pinned to a lamp post by the river, was a sign saying: WANTED, MAN IN DISTRESS, MURDERED BY RIVER DON! I knew it had to be the man I saw earlier. I had to do something, but what? Then I remembered that when people are in trouble they call 999 for help.
Good. How did the duck call for help?
I was just travelling along the river shore when a waterfall hit our family I was banished from my family.I was scared lonely and had no one to care for me, I knew my parents would be out there looking for me but it turned out I was looking for them insted. After years of being alone and searching I gave up.Years passed by and I finally found the remains of my parents white feathers.
What a sad ending. We’ll done.
Wow that is sad, but brilliant!
Travelling on the river, in the river we like to put are heads into the water to make our heads clean,we like to glide through the water and after we like to sit in the sun all day , pruning our feathers and making our selves clean so that female ducks like us.We play together guarding our little bit of lake that is ours ,we’ll our family of ducks anyway,We all get along but one or two, do get our feathers in a twist when we fall out but we all end up as friends again looking after each other. Could you create a poem from this text?
I once saw a duck just The travelling duck on the pond
on the river Don. The duck wasn’t moving very fast. It’s nest was over at the other side of the river and the duck was travelling that way. The ducklings were all asleep but then the duck got pulled down a waterfall and it screamed for help. I ran down the hill where the end of the waterfall was and luckily I saw the duck. The duck was travelling back up to the nest it jumped out the water and it walked up the hill and I followed it up. Once again it was travelling again.
We’ll done. Do ducks scream for help?
Ben the duck was travelling down the river when he came to some rapids. He had to swim down it, so he did but he broke his wing.
When he went to the doctors, they made him a robot wing and with that wing he became a super hero and saved other ducks and fought crime. He became Super Duck!
He was invincible but he didn’t just save ducks, he saved lots of other animals like frogs, fish and other animals that lived on the river.
Wow; Superduck! What an interesting idea. We’ll done.
On Saturday, me and my family went to Rivelin Valley and we saw a duck. I wanted it and when I asked my mum she said that she would buy me one later in the year. I didn’t believe my mum so when my mum was not looking, I slipped in the freezing cold water trying to get hold of the duck on the neck. I really wasn’t bothered about getting my self wet. When I came out of the water, I was frozen. Did I get to keep the duck or was it that I couldn’t keep the duck?
You wrote that you tried to get the duck, so I’m guessing that you didn’t catch it. Well done.
Travelling down the river
I loved going down the river with mama duck. I used to travel with her and my brothers. She used to show us almost the entire river. But now it’s my turn,
I got prepared and went to see the sightings for myself it was lovely with the wind in my face… “I love this!” I said to myself …going down the river…
“Fishing time!” I said to my family. I got into my boat and started travelling down the river. It was tricky with the rapids, but at last I got fish and went back home…
Well done for the use of speech marks in this work.
Jenny travelled along the river because she had a day off work. “Hello Jenny.” I said walking along the banks as I met her. “Oh, good morning Cicely. How are you today my dear?” Jenny said softly. “I’m fine thankyou. How are you?” I replied. “I’m fine darling I’m just a bit cold.” Said Jenny.
Jenny is a kind old lady. She would do anything to put a smile on your face and keep it there. Jenny is 69 and it’s her birthday tomorrow so I’m going to go to bed early tonight for the big day tomorrow. Goodnight.
It’s dawn. I’m so excited. Jenny is opening my present…SURPRISE! I popped out of the box! “What a surprise! That’s the best present I’ve ever got. Thankyou.” said Jenny sounding pleased. “Happy 70th birthday Jenny!” I replied.
I like how you introduced the characters, well done.
Travelling on the river I sore a boat with dark black writing saying “the beautiful swan lake” I sore a lot of tourists looking at me all amazed like I was the queen of the lake which I am but it’s still weird but it’s still quite cool I tell my assistants to have I day off Weill I went and had a further look.
Once I came back I tolled all the creatures in the river that it was all ok but we still have to be careful because we don’t know if they’ve allowed fisher men to fish.
I like your idea about Swan Lake. We’ll done.
