It has been a busy end to the term at Sacred Heart. KS2 began our celebrations with their lovely presentation of the Christmas stories. This was followed by our younger children, who staged the Nativity beautifully.
There have been Christmas parties galore and a wonderful Christmas dinner prepared by Anya, Rachel and Donna in the kitchen; Radio Sheffield came to interview some of the children about our Reverse Advent Calendar which each class has been doing.
On Thursday we had our Advent Showcase where the children sang Christmas songs which were both amusing and at times brought a tear to the eye! There were examples of the children’s work on display for everyone to admire.
Today was Christmas Jumper day and there were some fabulous examples out there!
We ended our year with quiet reflection, thinking about the true meaning of Christmas while listening to the Christmas story itself.
The support from our parents and carers has, as usual, been wonderful and we thank you for this. Your generosity with the Reverse Advent Calendar in particular will make such a difference to lives of the needy within our community.
We would like to wish everyone in the community of Sacred Heart a Peaceful Christmas and a Happy New Year.
