Amazing Africa

As part of Black History month, in FS2, we have been finding out about the African culture and then compared it to life in Sheffield. This led us to thinking about how each one of us is different and how we all have special gifts and qualities. We celebrated our differences and linked this to how we are created by God to be proud of who we are. A special ‘thank you’ to all the FS2 parents and carers who helped to locate on a world map where our children’s families originated from this week… we used this create more understanding about the differences in the children’s lives, cultures and celebrations. Take a look at some of our activities this week…

Tapping out the beat to songs using African instruments
Making beautiful collar necklaces like those in the Maasai tribe
Painting pasta shapes to make necklaces by threading
