English and Maths Home Learning

  • 11th May, 2020 at 1:29pm

Hi Year 4,

I hope you and your families are all keeping well.  What have you all been up to?

I have attached some more English and Maths activities for those of you who have completed the work already set.  I hope you have a look at them and are able to have a go.  Please get in touch with me if you would like any help with any of the work or even just to let me know how you are doing.

I hope you are all looking after yourselves and trying to keep some sort of routine.  I know it is sometimes hard to keep motivated, but just try your best.

Take care, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Wow, again you have used some lovely vocabulary. I like how you used the word navigated 🙂 Keep up the hard work Jayden, and keep sending me your stories, I love them.

I decided to write a story about an animal that lives near to a river. I hope you like it? I tried to use lots of adjectives. I miss everyone and can’t wait to see you all again!

      Hi Jayden,
Wow, what a great story. You have added so much detail and included keywords such as sediment. I am really happy that you have included so much description and ensured your story makes sense and flows. Well done, I love it!
I am amazed at how hard you are working.

Take care and hopefully see you soon.

I have written another story for you and I’m really proud of it. I hope you like it, I used 2 semi colons and wondered if they’re in the right place?
        Lots of love Jayden

          Wow Jayden,
You have been working so hard. I can see improvement in the structure and flow of your stories. Well done!
Great work on trying out semi colons. This is something you will cover next year, so great for a bit of pre-learning. You have definitely used the first one correctly as you have used it to link 2 independent clauses. 🙂
You are right to be proud and so am I.
          Take care

Hi Mrs todd I hope you are doing well. I have been doing work from home. I have been really enjoying I see maths and also white rose maths. I completed the king of the fishes English task you set us and I am also going to work my way through the other English task tomorrow. We did some little science experiments from home yesterday I am writing in my home work book what we did so I can show you when we get back to school. I miss school a lot and all of my friends. It is my sisters birthday on Monday she is going to be 5. Stay safe everyone

      Hi Thomas

That is fantastic to hear! I am really pleased that you are managing to complete some of the tasks I have set and it is lovely to hear that you are enjoying them :). I am really looking forward to seeing your work.:)
I know it is hard not being at school with all your friends, and I am missing teaching you all in class. We have to try and remember this won’t be forever and, when we are all back together, it will be something that we will never take for granted again. I am so proud of you all.
I hope you have fun celebrating your sister’s birthday. Send her birthday wishes from me.
      Take Care
