Yesterday year one heard about the important Korean holiday called Chuseok.
Chuseok is a three day “thanksgiving” festival (with the main day being 21st September). Historically, it is celebrated the end of the harvest season. These days, it is a time to get together with family. Thousands of people who live in the city but have family in the countryside, return to their family home. Children dress up in traditional Korean dress called Hanbok. Families make a table of food offerings to the ancestors who have passed. They bow and show respect to grandparents and have a three-day feast!
