Our School Council is made up pupils from across the school who have been elected by their peers to represent the views and opinions of their class. Every September we hold School Council elections. Anyone wanting to become part of the School Council has to explain to their class why they would like to be part of the School Council and the class then vote. We have 2 members from each class Y1 to Y6.
The School Council Representatives speak to their class about any matters or ideas they have about improving the school and then we bring these ideas to the School Council Meeting. They arrange fundraising activities within school – for example, running cake stalls, organising raffles, a talent show etc. They also lead assemblies such as during Anti-Bullying Week and sometimes show vistors round school.
The School Council also represent our school by meeting visitors to the school and attending events.
