Shout out to Y3!

Hi everyone, I hope you are all staying safe and well.

How is everything going at home? My children and I are trying to keep fit as well as doing our work. Every day, I am adding five more minutes to the time I am going on the exercise bike in the kitchen. I will keep you posted on how it is going!

Thank you to the children who have commented on the blog posts, you have done some great work. Mrs Mills has added First News to the list of activites. There are some great reads on there. Please could you, or your parents/carers leave a comment to let me know that you are able to access the blog and home learning? You can use the blog comments to ask any questions about the work.

Keep in touch and let me know all the wonderful things you are getting up to.

Mrs Jessop

Hi these r the ducklings 🐥 we saw at crookes valley park. When we threw the peas in they dived straight 4 them! They dived right 2 the bottom of the pond… the mummy and daddy ducks dont do that! It was so funny! We even saw some fish! The black 1 was massive and we also saw a fast orange fish though this wasn’t that big at all… from donuty

Hi I have been baking scones for my lunch at home and I have also multiplied the recipe by one and a half for some maths and some more lunch! My cuddly duck Bouncy helped me and the maths was hard! From sibeal

      Hi Sibeal
Your scones look delicious. Multiplying by one and a half is very tricky maths!!
I hope you both enjoyed eating them.

Hi I am doing some work about how many different ways you can get to denmark and how much money it is. From manchester to denmark the total of money if you’re flying on a plane is only £385! You can even swim to denmark if you wanted to and that wouldn’t cost a penny! The distance from sheffield to denmark is 800 miles!

    love sibeal 🤩

Dear Mrs Jessop, This is Megan, it`s nice to hear from you and lovely to hear that you are having a great time with you family. I miss you so much. I have been doing home schooling everyday .We have a timetable at home, I have done a lot of my maths, Maths and English work books, times table rock stars, reading, board games and card games like dobble, playing cards, draughts, snakes and ladders, 4 in a row, word search, sea battle, chess and scrabble. We have PE with Joe Wicks and art – I drew a picture for the NHS Nightingale hospital. We have break time at 10:30 am, lunch at 12:30 pm and finish the day off at 3:20 pm. I go out for a walk in the evening with my lovely family and I cycle with my mum, my brothers and sister for 20 – 30 minutes. I also watch movies with my family every evening before bed time. I have really enjoyed spending so much time playing with my siblings everyday but I also miss you and my friends at school. Love from Megan

Hi Mrs Jessop I hope you hade a lovely break. I’ve done some of my maths and times tables 1 to ten and I’ve been board with out you So I’ve done work and played games on the iPad, I’ve learnt from some of the games, I have learnt in adopt me you can trade and there is a lot of scams, so I don’t play a lot, somtimes I play board games. I do some more reading, my Maths and beside all that I exercise daily yoga. Today I have learned that Mrs Mills was reading a book this Morning and that was fun. Also, I will start exercise outside from tomorrow 15 minutes a day because it becomes warm outside.

Take care and have a nice weekend

    Kisses Antony

Hi I am very well here at home and I’m keeping as fit as possible! It’s quite boring except I am trying to make it more fun by going cycling and scooting. I’ve put up my rainbow along with a big furry grey cat – though the cat is not real! I even saw a cute blue tit! I liked the my maths challenges and I also played the games. I ran the ‘slightly silly’ exercise session but it was fun!

Hi Sibeal. Thank you for your message. I am glad you are keeping busy. The silly exercise session sounds like good fun. The rainbows are such a lovely idea. I am glad you haven’t put a real cat to stay in the window! Take care and keep safe.

Hi Mrs Jessop, glad you are doing well. We have access to all the site material. Sophia is busy doing a lot of work on Ancient Greece, we will upload once she has completed the work. There are some great Ancient Greece stories on the BBC Radio site which she has really enjoyed listening to. We’re keeping active jumping around to Joe Wicks in the morning, it’s keeping us really motivated to get fit. Any more Mymaths work would be good.

    Take care

        HI Mrs Jessop
I went on my bike today to Hillsborough park with my family, it took me 5 minutes to cycle around the park. I was quite fast so no one could catch me up.That cheered me up a lot :). When i came back home, I got board because my favourite thing at home is the Ipad to play roblox with my friends in school so i will not miss them. I will do TTrockstars today and tomorrow so that my mum will say yes for using the IPAD.

        Have a good evening.
        Goodbye and take care

I am pleased you are in touch with your friends. Keeping in touch helps us to keep our minds healthy.
I think you will enjoy TT Rock Stars, let me know how you get on.
          Take care.
