Stop, Look, Listen!

This week has been National Road Safety week, and we thought that we would show how safe we could be by going on a walk to Hillsborough Park. We had a really exciting time in the park, especially when we read a letter from some elves who needed our help. We loved making ‘power wands’ with Autumn objects, and then collected more natural bits and bobs from the park to add to a potion. All of our hard work paid off and we released the elves….hurrah! We have since found that a tiny elf door has appeared in our classroom and we have been phoning the elves using the ‘elf line’. Watch this space for more elf news over the next few weeks!

We have also been learning about how to stay safe when crossing the road and have been practicing holding hands when crossing roads whilst always waiting for ‘the green man’. During RE, we have been learning about the Jewish celebration of Hannukah and have loved making our own ‘menorah’s’. Take a look below at some of this week’s activities.

Searching for Autumn objects
Tracking down potions
Making up road safety stories
Sorting safe and unsafe activities
