Have you got some good ideas to share about staying happy and motivated?

All I am doing is homework, playing fortnite and going on the trampoline. I am kind of sad, that I cant see my friends and teachers. I can still talk and kind of see my friends on facetime. i have planned to do homework and have a barbecue on Sunday. To pass the time i go on the trampoline or on my Nintendo switch. The worst thing about staying home is that I cant really call for my friends due Covid 19. Hope you all do well with your work and stay indoors miss you all Owen

It’s a really hard time for everyone Owen – I think lots of people are feeling quite sad. Who’d have thought you’d be missing school so much! πŸ™‚
Stay in touch with your friends and set yourself some goals to achieve everyday. You can always chat to me on here too – I’m still your teacher and I’m missing you all loads.

Hi Vicky, I’m sorry to hear you’ve been unwell. The CGP books really are the best thing to learn from as they explain things really well. Let me know if you need any help with anything.

While I am at home, i am doing the home challenges and drawing. My plan is to try and stay motivated and do physical activities. I am really sad that i dont get to see my friends and my teachers. To keep motivated and happy I would recomend that you keep in touch with friends. The best thing about having to stay at home is that i get to sleep longer and just chill. The worst thing about staying at home is not going outside to shop and to eat at my favorite resturants. I hope everyones doing well and be safe! πŸ™‚

Hi everyone, while not being a school I have been catching up with some work (I have tried out Twinkl). Joe Wicks does a daily workout at 9am as a P.E lesson every week day so I have been doing that to keep active as well as going out for walks with my family. I miss all my friends and all the good memories I’ve made with them at school but it is good I have my phone to text and call them. After reading the book The Runaways by Holly Webb (from the school book fair) my mum has ordered me another book from that author called Evie’s War. It hasn’t arrived yet but I can’t wait for it to come. I hope everyone is safe and healthy.

Joe Wicks sounds brilliant Rui – remember to limit your screen time too and get lots of fresh air. I’m sure all of your friends are missing you too.

I have been doing some my maths and an excersise session every weekday. On Friday Sibeal did a (slightly silly) excersise session for us. I have been doing some excersise on my Wii and have been doing some yoga. I have recently learnt the Standing Knee pose and the Sun Salutation. I am soon going to run a yoga session for my family. πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜β˜ΊοΈπŸ˜€

I’ve been doing yoga too Aoife, although I’m not very good at it yet. My aim is to do it 5 times a week so that I get better and don’t look so silly when I do it!

While I am at home, I will be keeping up with my learning by having an organised timetable that benefits me with a routine for every day involving exercise, geography, maths and so much more. I will be cooking and going for walks with my family too. Me and my brother have planned a box of activities to do when we are bored. Not being at school makes me sad ☹️because I won’t be able to see all my friends and teachers. Some tips are to get some fresh air when you can and do some craft and cooking with your family. The best thing about being at home is that I can enjoy lots of fun things with my family and the worst thing is that I will miss my friends and all the nice activities with Y6.

A box of activities is a great idea Jess! Maybe you could give us some suggestions of what to have in there in case anyone else wants to do something similar. With this lovely weather we can all get some fresh air and exercise.
