Y1 Home Learning Week 5

  • 20th Apr, 2020 at 5:42pm

Hello Year 1!

Week 5 of home learning and the second week of what would have been the Easter holidays.

I have attached some activities you may like to try this week. Remember, these are just ideas, if you have your own ideas please do show/tell me about them. If you enjoyed doing something it would be great for others to see it and maybe have a go too!

Well done for working hard on MyMaths and for all the wonderful work you have sent to me over the blog.

I miss you all and hope it is not too long before we can all be back together! Keep in touch.

    Hi Mrs Senior,

This is my geography project that I was telling you about. It’s going to take ages to finish!

    Love from x

I love this (in fact I love it so much I’ve stolen your idea for this weeks home learning!) Mrs Senior X

Plant diary complete – beans have started to grow, very tiny, but you can see them. Noah D

Excellent, you have done a great job at looking after your plant! Hmmm I wonder why the tomato plant hasn’t grown, I have spoken to a few other children and theirs haven’t either. Mrs Senior X

We learnt about all the holy days – we did 11 in total. My fa couture holy day is Easter Sunday, it reminds me of Easter eggs and new life. Then we put them together in a paper chain (like the months of the year task). Noah D

What a lovely idea! This is fantastic Noah. I like Easter Sunday too, although I also like the story of Pentecost – the Holy Spirit inspiring wind, fire and allowing the apostles to speak different languages must have been amazing!

This was fun from Twinkl. There are sheets to print out with a picture and you have to think about sentences to answer the questions.

Woah, great work! I wonder what it was going to eat, was it a herbivore, a carnivore or an omnivore? Mrs Senior X

We went on to the BBC bite size site Explorers section and watched the video about Mary Anning. There are lots of other topics too.

This looks interesting! Is that a plesiosaur fossil you have drawn? Mrs Senior X
