2024 has been designated a Year of Prayer by Pope Francis. He asks us all to join in a great “symphony” of prayer, “to renew our desire to be in the presence of the Lord, to listen to him and to adore him."

There is a particular focus on the Our Father, and this presents us with a great opportunity to go back to the basics of prayer.

Throughout the year, we will be marking this special year in lots of different ways including:

• a challenge to write a 5 finger prayer at home
• praying Pope Francis' monthly prayer intentions
• learning the Our Father in sign language
• a focus on understanding the words of the Our Father
• using the Shalom Room and Garden as a focus for prayer
• learning a prayer in another language - Malayalam
• revisiting the school prayer

This is in addition to our usual daily prayers, celebration of the Word and prayer journaling.
